How the Ministry Modules work:
Joel and a Church leadership liaison or designated Elder/Deacon will set up either a video or a face-to-face visit and discussion with Joel. This meeting is to gather information regarding the desired outcomes and current aspects of ministry. After some reflective listening, Joel will discuss what he has heard and what module(s) might best address the current needs.
Modules are not the same as an on-sight interim ministry. Joel will be on-sight when necessary to coordinate the steps and processes needed towards the contractual outcomes. So, the number of days on-sight will be designated in the Contract.
Should the Church leadership desire working on more than one module, this can be done by overlapping each other so that the process is not a long period of time. This will be addressed in conversation and presented should a contract be desired by the leadership.
Should the Church leadership decide to request a contract be drawn up for consideration with Joel and Next Steps Forward- Coaching/Consulting, then Joel will draw up and present the Contract to the Council and Church to discuss, modify, and decide.
With the decision of the leadership for a Contract to be drawn up, a minimum fee of $200.00 is required prior to cover time spent in the previous discussions and the development of the proposed Contract, negotiations, and other aspects, regardless if the contract is accepted or not. This can be done by clicking the Contract Payment link below.

Joel will help the leadership and church assess
Why vision and mission play a critical role for giving the church motivation, combined unity of purpose and direction, along with memorable statements, that are not cute religious jargon. Rather, these statements open the way for opportunities present and future in being the church for building God's Kingdom.
The congregation and leadership will have enjoyment in discovering what new values will the church as a whole need for the next steps in being contextual yet grounding in the foundations of the church's beliefs. A number of meetings along with processing information for the leadership will occur over a 2 month period.
Finally, Joel will assist the church to look at the aspects of ministry and the church's body life lose momentum- not being aligned. 3. Church Leadership Toolbox Module: This module is typically a 2-4 month (depending on how many leaders are involved) process where Joel assists first time and returning leaders with skills and competency:
In how church leadership is distinct from leading other occupations. The dual nature of Church; The fact that all is volunteer hours (self and others); nature of and responsibilities regarding your leadership call by God.

4. Community Impact and Adaptability Module: This module is typically a 4-6 month process which Joel helps your leaders in three distinct aspects that when functioning well creates the church culture for development and growth beyond doing events:
One aspect of the church's culture is that of openness beyond being friendly or warm. Joel coaches and consults on helping the congregation discover their own uniqueness in starting where people are at and bringing them further into the grace-filled church culture.
Second aspect of the church's culture discovers how to move from catching up in the moment or being in the moment to augmenting the whole of ministry to begin with the end in mind. Joel will help draw this out through discussion times with ministry teams, leaders, and the congregation. Allowing them to help plan adaptive strategies for the future.
Final aspect focuses on fostering the Church's true self without being stuck in non-relevant traditions and patterns of ministry which create walls instead of doorways for new people to join in and develop a lasting heritage of ministry effectiveness.
Involved in the process Joel connects and coaches individuals, pastors, leadership team and at key points the congregation where the anxiety of cultural change can be addressed while lowering the dissonance so that creative thinking can arise to lead the formation of a healthy culture that's adaptable for extending and evangelization. Cost begins at: $750/mo.
5. Conflict, Drama, and Reconciliation: This module is typically a 1-2 month process where Joel coaches leaders, staff, and sometimes the whole church on how to gain discernment for arresting the common challenges of conflict and drama. Most leaders and church members view conflict as something to be avoided. Drama erodes the fabric of church relationships and team ministry efforts, and most believers have many conflicting thoughts and beliefs about reconciliation and what is involved in reconciling. In this module, Joel coaches participants:
In considering the many ways this plays into the life of the church and how this creates an unsafe culture that people spiritually and emotionally pick up on. Awareness of a person's needs plays an important in turning things in the positive.
On having a clear understanding of these terms and how to overcome the restraints in not facing these from a positive viewpoint. Each of these three aspects will be clarified and developed for how to not get caught up in conflict or drama.
Discovering and helping formulate a healthy and personal approach to ways of turn things towards the positive and begin moving aspects towards reconciliation.
Access to a number of resources, videos that compliment and enhance some of the training here. These will be available through Joel's hidden web pages which he will present the process for obtaining access.
Involved in the process is some flexibility in how this can happen over the 1-2 month time period. Variations can be hosting a 4-6 hour retreat days (e.g. two Saturdays) and then a number of follow-up times with leaders, or others who desire to some extra personalized training. Most of this can be specified in the contract. Cost begins at: $600/mo.
6. Pastor & Church Leader Transitions, Awareness, and Replenishment: This module is typically a 3-4 month process where Joel works with Pastor, staff and church leaders that are experiencing somethings that cause them to be "stuck" in working with each other for not able to advance the ministry forward. Often these things revolve around an aspect of life transitions, of self-awareness limitations a need for spiritual or life refreshment, and an inability to make good choices or see any fruition from decisions made but lack of implementation. Over the 3-4 months of Coaching and Spiritual directing, Joel will help those involved with:
Gaining clarity of what the source(s) are that are causing the inner disconnect or relational tensions, or lack of spiritual refreshment to continue weekly routines, creative thinking, etc.
Finding their way through the entanglements of what use to give energy and joy to once again become more self-aware of true self. How to strengthen the use of one's true self for delegating and focusing on narrowing what to be responsible for in a week.
Giving themselves or others permission to limit activities for a time and focus on personal and spiritual rest and replenishment.
Creating a plan going forward for having confidence in taking the necessary time to re-establish healthy boundaries for getting unstuck from cognitive distortions and ineffective behaviors with others.
Involved in the process are the complexity of the situations, the assessment given by Joel with the person needing replenishment or renewal, and how best to keep the pastor, church, or staff in place while dealing with the aspects necessary for restoration. Time and cost adjustment will be discussed and written in the Contract. Cost begins at: $700/mo.
7. Build Your Own: Because every church is unique in its development and aspects of spiritual and relational health, Joel presents an opportunity for the Church leadership to contact him for a free session for taking through what aspects of their ministry needs consideration with regard to the above modules or something that isn't presented here. As such, there is not designated amount of months or cost per month that can be determined. This is deliberate because aspects and challenges come in many shapes and sizes with no one module to cover things completely. Don't delay, pick and choose parts of any of the above modules, or create your own for consideration. Then contact Joel for your free session and let's see what God can do when we walk and work together.
